spirituality

Spirituality is life in the spirit of God. or in other words you allow spirit to work in you and controll your life. it is to be done in the world where it is more challenging. the world in which we live will give us lot of frustrations and pains and at the same time we can celebrate our life in this world. so be happy and enjoy your life as God wants to have in this world.

  1. A PURPOSE DRIVEN LENT

Lent is more than an annual event in the church calendar. It is the time of preparation for a transformation by which we may once again identify with Christ’s suffering and death. Therefore it is a time for self discipline and spiritual revival.
The lenten season beckons us to re-prioritize our lives and the state of our souls! It’s a good time to ask, “Is there something or someone that I’ve been placing before God? Is there something I need to let go of in order to grow stronger in faith and walk closer to Jesus?” As we open our hearts to the Lord, asking Him to purify us and prepare us for the coming celebration of Easter, we can take this time to surrender our lives to God; putting Him first and praying that He will guide us as we choose our schedules and daily activitiesLent is a time for ‘less’ for ‘more’. When we eat less , spend less, work less, party less, we gain more time for prayer and meditation. It helps us to prune our excess that we may grow luxuriantly in Christ. Fasting and abstinence are part of the traditions of the church during the lent. “Christian fasting is a test to see what desires control us”, thus conditioning us to decrease our desire for worldly things and increase our desire for God. Abstinence is not only about ‘what we give up’, but rather the willingness and joy we experience ‘when we give up’. In place of that which we are giving up for Lent, we can commit ourselves to practicing a certain virtue or habit that we would like to improve or increase in our spirits. As Christ gave His all, we too, can give of ourselves for His sake.Let’s Live A Purpose-Driven Lent ! May the Lord help us to prepare our hearts and pursue Him whole heartedly through these 50 gifted days that we may be strengthened through the lent and beyond.
